Kerala Grameena Bank offers Loan against Gold jewellery through all its branches. We offer a wide range of Gold loan products to cater all your needs.

Gold loan is granted by multiplying net weight of the gold ornaments pledged (arrived by deducting weight of stones, fastenings etc from the gross weight of the ornament) with the per gram rate fixed by taking the average of value of gold for last 30 days as per IBJA site, which is revised periodically.

Present market value of gold per gram -

i. Rs.13, 462/- for 22 carat
ii. Rs.11, 022/- for 18 carat

For agricultural crop production/ crop maintenance purposes.
Other agricultural & allied activities.
For investment in business / profession/MSME activities.
Other productive purposes.
Consumption purposes like purchase of durable articles, medical purposes, for meeting social & family expenses.

Gold loans will be granted only to individuals.
Loan will be granted after getting the jewels duly appraised by the jewel appraiser engaged by the Bank.
22 carat Gold’s are accepted as security.

Quantam of Loan

Quantum of loan differs from one scheme to another.
Maximum loan amount upto 80% of appraised value of gold can be availed.

Security

Pledge of Gold ornaments.
Only 22 carat Gold will be accepted as security.

Repayment

Repayment of Gold Loans depends on the scheme in which the ornaments has been pledged.
Loan amount plus interest needs to be repaid on or before expiry date.
